Treatment Options
One of the most important considerations is the complexity that arises as a result of the individual differences among children who are diagnosed with autism. Because of these differences, treatment is likely to look different across children. What might be successful for one child may not be successful for another. Although it would be convenient to have a “one treatment fits all” approach, you will not see this with autism (any treatment that claims to be a “one size fits all” approach should be carefully scrutinized). Rather, you will need to identify a selection of appropriate, individualized interventions for your child.
